Uniforms

Picture

The uniform nurses wear were made in the early 19th century. It was made by one of Florence Nightingale’s student. The first uniform’s style was like a nun’s. The uniform had a dress, apron, and a nun-like cap. Most of the 19th century nurses wore this all over the world. This style wasn’t changed until the 1980’s and 1990’s.

After 1990 the nurses forgot about the traditional uniform and wanted to wear medical scrubs. The nurses like the wearability and convenience of the scrubs. So today most of the nurses wear scrubs like doctors but there still are debates on both sides. There are easy, functional and stylish.

Some hospitals and nurses still prefer to wear uniform but some don't.
